Selected artist for the touring show "Florida Creates".
Subject of the film "American Artist" produced under a grant by the Ford Foundation.
Works are in more than five hundred corporate collections throughout the U.S.
In Jacksonville his work is included in the Mayor's City collection, Chamber of Commerce, Preston Haskell collection, the Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art, Bell South and the Ringling Museum in Sarasota FL.
Commissioned work include the Omni in Atlanta, Omni in Norfolk VA, Bristol Mayors in Chicago IL, Tupperware in Orlando FL, The Tower Building in Dallas TX, Barnett Bank in West Palm Beach, Amelia Island Plantation Resort, the Koger Gallery and the French Embassy in Central America.
Numerous solo exhibitions and showed in the Palm Beach American Painters Show and the Cummer Museum of Art Bicentennial Exhibition.
Served two years on the Federal Design Council in association with the National Endowment of the Arts in Washington, D.C. to establish Design Standards for all published art representing the United States.
Painted the first and only visual interpretations of the Twelve Step Program of Recovery, with prints of these paintings now collected internationally.
Member and co-founder of "Art Celebration" a group of thirteen regional artist that exhibited from 1972 until 1995.
Usry continues to paint and reside in Jacksonville, Florida.
