Title of Square: The Politician
About the Square: Usually my assemblages evoke a happy memory or reflect an icon from ancient history, nevertheless the day I constructed the square I was feeling very frustrated with the whole political process. This piece is a political statement about my frustration with the current state of affairs in the United States. I have little faith in our government and little trust in our politicians as well, so I decided to dedicate this work to the future leaders of our wonderful country. The overall color of green represents avarice, the long red "Pinoccio" nose is a symbol for the outright lies we are told, the screen represents the media and all their biases, and the little bird stands for our conscience. This piece begs the question: Are you satisfied with the status quo?
