Comment: I selected my cubist self portrait for my imagination squared submission because it is my most recent series of paintings. I started doing cubist portraits a few years ago in New York for an event company who plans huge corporate parties. It is like getting a caricature by a street artist but with a cubist style. I love Picasso's cubist portraits but they are not exactly flattering of the person. My cubist portraits attempt to be more flattering, colorful and capture the essence of the person.
